American Women Artists Exhibition Under a Vast Sky at the Tucson Desert Art Museum until December 3th

This painting and 144 other beautiful works by women from across the United States, are on exhibit until December 13 at the Tucson Desert Art Museum, 7000 E. Tanque Verde Road. Be sure to attend Under A Vast Sky: Symposium on Women in the Arts, November 4 from 9:00 am - 4 pm, at the Tucson Museum of Art, 140 N. Main Street. The event is free to the public. Trying my hand at some smaller pieces again. I find that very simple two or three value compositions simplify things for me when working  this small. My favorite is Windbreak at Dusk because of the way the silhouettes of the trees work and the limited color palette for the late day light. 

These three were all accepted by the Randy Higbee Gallery 6x 6 Exhibit and will be on display  December3rd to December 22nd with a reception on December 3rd From 5:00 to 9:00pm
