Carlsbad Flower Fields Series

 As the Flower Fields wind down their season, thought I would share this years crop. I am still working on balanceing abstraction with the subject and making paintings that communicate how I feel about these geometric block of saturated color. Still enthralled with the work of Carmen Herrara.

I am thrilled to be exhibiting in the 111th Annual California Art Club Gold Medal Exhibition.

July 17 th to August 21st , the Bowers Museum , Santa Ana 

Borrego Springs Plein Air Invitational

 I was able to complete 9 paintings because of the nearly perfect weather conditions and the painting at the top of this post was awarded second prize by juror Patty McGeeney. Thank you to the jurors , the Borrego Art Institute, sponsors , hosts , volunteers and art appreciators who all made this event possible. The exhibit is on display through April 3rd and is well worth a trip.

13th Annual Signature American Watercolor Exhibit in Fallbrook
