3rd Place Award at Paint San Clemente 2023

 

Thank you to the San Clemente Art Association, volunteers, and judges for the third place award at the Gala last night for "Top of the Ridge". The Plein Air Exhibit is on display at the San Clemente Art Association until July 21st and I highly recommend it, 100 plus great examples of plein air paintings of a beautiful area.

The Sands Of Silence

All this May Gray June Gloom has put me in a Giorgio Morandi mood. I love the title. Those of us of a certain age know where it’s from. 12 x 16 watercolor on paper studio painting from  a photo I took  in  Borrego Springs. “ The Sands of Silence”

Carmel Plein Air Art Festival Award Record

From 2006 to 2017 I was fortunate to earn 5 awards in the Carmel Art Festival. The last two awards  in 2015 and 2017 were for Best Watercolor from Ken Auster and Mian Situ, the rest were honorable mentions.
